Safretti has contracted various top designers to build up the assortment with new product lines. The designers are Jan des Bouvrie, Jort Mercuur, Frans Schrofer, Roderick Vos and Henk Heres.

Jan des Bouvrie (1942). After completing his education at the Rietveld Academy, Jan des Bouvrie worked in his partents’ furniture-business of his parents. Now, he owns a leading interior design institute with it’s own design studio. Des Bouvrie’s designs have earned countless prizes and decorations.
Jort Mercuur (1967). After finishing his education, Jort Mercuur build up his company Mercuursteen. For that purpose he designs and manufactures furniture made of aluminium or stainless steel in combination with natural stone, leather, glass or trespa. Jort Mercuur was also responsible for the furnishing of the museum Belvedere in Heerenveen (the Netherlands) with self-designed aluminium furniture.
Frans Schrofer (1956) graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. His international trademark is designing contemporary furniture with a twist. Schrofer's work, which spans twenty years, reflects his respect for both tradition and contemporary trends. His love of nature; passion for speed and technology; attention to detail; energy and inspired dedication to maintaining high standards set him apart. These qualities, which form the heart of his company, Studio Schrofer, remain the guiding principle by which he operates: "Hands on Design creates Tools for Living".
Roderick Vos (born 1965) studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. After gaining work experience at Ingo Maurer in Munich and Kenji Ekuan in Tokyo, he set up shop in Indonesia from 1990 until 1996. From 1996 until 2004 he was one of the driving forces behind the Maupertuus home furnishing shop in Groningen. Since 2004 he has focussed entirely on product design, collaborating with his wife Claire Teeuwen, who is also a designer, in the fortified city of Heusden in Brabant.

Studio Roderick Vos is commissioned by numerous Dutch and foreign companies including Alessi, Driade, MDF Italia, Designonstock.com, Royal Tichelaar Makkum, Spectrum, Linteloo, Moooi, and Van Esch en Durlet Belgie.

The designer Roderick Vos has a special, often intuitive way of working. A limited sketch, which is then immediately elaborated to actual size, is followed by an initial prototype. In this way he literally comes into contact with every aspect of shape, handling materials and production during the creative process. That is how many of his products retain a typical traditional personality despite their industrial appearance.

Quote: "The idea behind a design is something I find personal and not really that important. The product eventually designed by me must be able to tell its own product . Only in this way does a product justify its existence. I hate intellectual stories about dead simple everyday objects"

Factory visits are crucial for him; Quote "technology always provides me with the best ideas for new designs; of course in the end I do make a detailed product drawing. But I don t make it until the product is ready.

Various products by Studio Roderick Vos are housed in museums, including The Amsterdam Stedelijk Museum. (products for the Italian company Driade)

In September 2007, Roderick Vos was proclaimed the best home furnishing professional of 2007. Sanoma publishers.
